Allrode is a district of the town of Thale in the Harz district in Saxony-Anhalt . It was recognized as a climatic health resort in 2002 .

Geographical location

Allrode is located in the Harz Mountains , on the upper reaches of the Luppbode , around 3 km north of Güntersberge and can be reached via connecting roads from Hasselfelde , Stiege , Güntersberge, Friedrichsbrunn and Treseburg . The Bode-Selke-Stieg leads through Allrode .

history

Allrode traces the place back to a certificate issued in Quedlinburg by Otto I on July 15, 961. In it, the king donated the court in Quedlinburg , which had previously belonged to his mother Mathilde's Wittum, as well as the Jacobskirche there and its immediate accessories to the Servatius nunnery in Quedlinburg. In addition to Marsleben , Sallersleben , Orden , Sülten , Gersdorf , Bicklingen , Selkenfelde , Siptenfelde etc. a. also called Adelboldeshroth . Co- king Otto II repeated this donation in Wallhausen on July 25, 961. In this second document, Adelboldeshroth appears again . Research has not yet been able to fully clarify whether this is actually today's Allrode.

From 1599 to 1945 Allrode was, apart from the Napoleonic period , Brunswick .

At the cemetery in Allrode there is a communal grave and an individual grave for German soldiers who died in April 1945.

Allrode had belonged to the Quedlinburg district in the GDR district of Halle since 1952 , it was not until 1994 that the place became part of the Wernigerode district and in 2007 the Harz district. On January 1, 2011, the municipality of Allrode lost its independence and was incorporated into Thale.

A post office had existed in Allrode since 1897 .

The coat of arms was approved by the Magdeburg Regional Council on November 20, 1995 and registered under no. 112/1995 in the Saxony-Anhalt State Archives .

The coat of arms was designed according to a historical seal by the Magdeburg heraldist Jörg Mantzsch in 1995.

Natural monuments

On the right-hand side of the road to Stiege (Harz) there is a sequoia tree, and there is a hollow oak tree on the hiking trail to Friedrichsbrunn.
