Luquan ( Chinese  鹿泉 区 , Pinyin Lùquán Qū ) is a municipality in the prefecture -level city of Shijiazhuang , the capital of Hebei Province in the People's Republic of China . It has an area of ​​603.1 km² and at the end of 2012 had 400,000 inhabitants. It borders Zhengding and Luancheng to the east, Lingshou and Pingshan to the north, Jingxing to the west and Yuanshi to the south .

Attractions for visitors include Baoduzhai Nature Reserve , Longfeng Lake , Longquan Temple , Fenglong Shan Mountain , Shuyuan Academy , Daoist Shifang Yuan, and Tumen Guan .

Luquan is located on the eastern foothills of the Taihangshan Mountains . The relief slopes from west to east, with the west hilly and the east flat. The average height above sea level is 220 meters. About a third of the territory is occupied by mountains, hills and plains. The most important mountain ranges in Luquan include the Guayun Shan , Jiuli Shan , Lianhua Shan , Baoduzhai, Longchi Shan and Fenglong Shan . The main bodies of water are the Shijin Canal , the Guyun He , Taiping He , Jin He and Xiao He Rivers, and the Yingang Canal , Yuanquan Canal and Jisan Canal .
