The Lussich Cove ( French Anse Lussich ) is a bay on the south coast of King George Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is located on the southeast side of Martel Inlet in Admiralty Bay .
The bay was mapped in 1909 during the Fifth French Antarctic Expedition (1908–1910) under the direction of Jean-Baptiste Charcot . Charcot named it after Antonio Lussich (1848–1928), a ship owner from Montevideo , who helped the expedition there. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names translated this designation into English in 1952.
