Luther Metke at 94 is an American short - documentary by Jorge Preloran and Steve Raymen, in 1979 for the Ethnographic film program of the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) was filmed.

The film portrays Luther Metke , a 94-year-old veteran of the Spanish-American War of 1898. Even at an advanced age, he builds log cabins by hand on the Cascade Range in Oregon . Aspects of the log house construction are shown in the film. Meltke creates a hexagonal hut and explains the building site to a young couple. Additional footage shows his daily life annotated by a speaker. Metke also performs self-written poetry.
