The Lutz Hill is a turn 1000 m high hill on the Antarctic Ross Island . In the Kyle Hills, it rises one mile southeast of The Tooth .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 2000 after the American electrical engineer Larry F. Lutz from the University of Maryland , who from 1980 to 2000 worked on the development of various scientific measuring instruments and in 17 campaigns as part of the United States Antarctic Program the installation of which was involved at McMurdo Station , Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station and Siple Station .
