Lutz Mack (born  October 29, 1952 in Delitzsch ) is a former German gymnast . His home club was the SC Chemie Halle .

He won a bronze medal with the team of the German Democratic Republic (GDR) at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal and four years later a silver medal in the team all-round competition at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow . His best individual placement at the Olympic Games was eleventh in the individual all-around in Montreal.

Also at the world championships in 1974 in Varna and 1978 in Strasbourg he was third in the all- around with the GDR team. His greatest individual successes he achieved in 1979 when he two bronze medals in the European Championships rings gymnastics and gymnastics won.

He won the GDR championships in 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974 and 1976 in horse jumping , 1977, 1978 and 1979 on rings and in 1976 on parallel bars . He shared the title in horse jumping in 1971 with Klaus Köste with the same number of points .

In 1980 Lutz Mack was awarded the Patriotic Order of Merit in bronze.
