So-called Welserkapelle at the Konstanz Minster executed by Lux Böblinger . Some of the architectural decorations date from the 19th and 20th centuries.

Lux Böblinger , also Lukas or Lucas , (* unknown; † 1504 in Konstanz ) was a stonemason and master builder . He belonged to the Swabian master builder family of Böblingen .

In 1485 Lux Böblinger worked at the Frauenkirche in Esslingen under Matthäus Böblinger , his brother, and with the stonemason Stefan Waid . From 1487 he was foreman of the Constance Minster . The decorative Welserkapelle (1490–1502) on the north tower of the Constance Minster was built under him . On behalf of Bishop Hugo von Hohenlandenberg , Böblinger laid the foundation stone for the central tower in 1497, which was to complement the facade of the monumental west tower block based on the model of the Strasbourg cathedral ; However, the central tower, like the south and north towers, was never completed according to the medieval plans.
