Luzia Nistler

Luzia Nistler (* 1957 in Tulln on the Danube ) is an Austrian theater, opera and musical actress. She had her big break with Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical The Phantom of the Opera .

Luzia Nistler's father is also an actor. Her mother is also said to have sung a lot. Nistler himself sang in the choir as a child and was active in four choirs at the same time. Her parents also took her to the Volksoper . At the age of 17 she passed the entrance examination for the Vienna Conservatory , which she left after six months. It was only at the age of 22 that she decided to attend the conservatory again and studied musicals and operettas . She also completed training in vocal pedagogy at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna . She made her debut at the Stadttheater in St. Pölten .

In 1988 she had her breakthrough as Christine Daaé in Phantom of the Opera . This was followed by many other leading roles in successful musicals such as B. Evita . She is also known to play the supporting role of Duchess Ludovika , mother of Empress Elisabeth , in the musical Elisabeth . She can also be seen there as Frau Wolf . Nistler himself staged the musical Konrad or the child from the can based on a novel by Christine Nöstlinger .

Nistler is married and has three children.

From 2015 to 2016 she was director and headmaster of the Musical Academy Graz.
