history

The magazine was founded in 1986 by Ditmar and Elisabeth Mittelstädt in Aßlar together with the Lydia publishing house and initially appeared with the addition The Christian magazine for women . The publishing house has belonged to Gerth Medien since the beginning of 2010. The magazine appears quarterly and, with 75,000 copies, is the Christian women's magazine with the highest circulation in Germany. Since 1992 it has also been published in Romanian and Hungarian with the support of the “Lydia International Foundation” and in 2016 reached readers in 101 countries with a circulation of 160,000. The founder was editor-in-chief until 2013, which she handed over to Ellen Nieswiodek-Martin.
