The Lynton Urban District was an urban district in Devon . It only included the parish of Lynton .
history
In 1894 all places that did not become independent as Municipal Boroughs became Urban Districts, creating this district. On April 1, 1935, 325 acres (approximately 1.32 km²) were added from the Barntaple Rural District . With the Local Government Act 1972 , which came into force on April 1, 1974, the district became part of the new North Devon District . In 1911 the district had an area of 7,202 statute acres (approx. 29.15 km² ).
