Mänttä
Mänttä is a former Finnish city . It is located in the province of Western Finland and is part of the Pirkanmaa landscape .
Mänttä is an old industrial location of the wood processing industry. The city used to have close ties with the Serlachius family, whose legacy still shapes the city today. Today the Serlachius factories are part of the Metsä Group . Two museums in the city are dedicated to the name Serlachius.
At the beginning of 2009, Mänttä merged with the neighboring municipality of Vilppula to form the town of Mänttä-Vilppula .
