Vilppula
Vilppula ( Swedish : Filpula) is a former Finnish municipality . It is located in the province of Western Finland and is part of the Pirkanmaa landscape .
At the beginning of 2009, Vilppula merged with the neighboring town of Mänttä to form the town of Mänttä-Vilppula .

Vilppula has partnerships with the Swedish municipality of Heby and the Estonian rural municipality of Halliste .
