Mänttä-Vilppula [ ˈmænttæˌʋilppulɑ ] is a city in western Finland with 9983 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2018). It is located in the Pirkanmaa landscape and is part of the Oberpirkanmaa administrative community . The city of Mänttä-Vilppula was created in its current form in early 2009 through the merger of the city of Mänttä and the municipality of Vilppula .
