Punkalaidun ( Swedish Pungalaitio ) is a municipality in the Pirkanmaa countryside in western Finland .
history
Until December 31, 2004 Punkalaidun belonged to the administrative community Pori in the landscape Satakunta on.

The community includes the towns of Halkivaha, Hankuri, Haviokoski, Jalasjoki, Kannisto, Kanteenmaa, Kivisenoja, Kokkola, Koskioinen, Kostila, Kouvola, Liitsola, Moisio, Mypenpää, Oriniemi, Parrila, Sarkkila, Talala, Teikarla and Vanttarla.
