The Mönchhof is a motor ship on Lake Zurich .

history

The Mönchhof was built in 1929 by the Sulzer brothers , Winterthur , for the Mouettes Genevoises . There she was in operation under the name MG 15 before she came to the Société de navigation des lacs de Neuchâtel et Morat in 1941 together with a sister ship MG 16 on Lake Neuchâtel . The MG 15 operated there as Grèbe . Over the gravel contractor Eugene Buhler the two ships in 1953 came to the last year with the Walter Koelliker in Neuchatel, who rebuilt Romandie reinforce opened Shipping Line Neuchâtel-Solothurn. The Mönchhof operated here under the name Nautilus III . When the Bielersee-Dampfschiffgesellschaft and the Koelliker company merged to form the Bielersee-Schiffahrtsgesellschaft in 1966 , the ship again changed its name to Romandie II and remained in service on Lake Biel until 2005 .

present

The Mönchhof came to the Mönchhof restaurant in Kilchberg on Lake Zurich in 2006 and has since been used as a mobile restaurant under its current name. Your home port is in Feldmeilen .
