Camille Saxton (born April 8, 1991 in Calgary , today Camille Saxton-Crudup ) is a Canadian beach volleyball player .

Career

Camille Saxton played indoor volleyball when she was a teenager at George McDougall High School in Airdrie and while studying at Oregon State University . Then she decided to play beach volleyball.

In 2015 Saxton and Rachel Cockrell achieved top placings at the NORCECA tournaments in Varadero and Tavares . In Puerto Vallarta she played the first open tournament of the FIVB World Tour with her partner . In 2016 Saxton / Cockrell achieved further top ten results in the continental tournament series. On the 2016 World Tour, they finished 25th at the Cincinnati Open and 33rd at the Grand Slam in Long Beach .

In 2017, Saxton formed a new duo with Julie Gordon , who first competed in the five-star tournament on the World Tour in Fort Lauderdale . After that Gordon / Saxton won the low rated tournaments in Shepparton and Sydney . At the tournaments in Xiamen (three stars), Gstaad (five) and Olsztyn (four) they each achieved 17th place. After the World Cup in Vienna , where they also ended up in 17th place, Saxton interrupted her career because of her pregnancy.

Private

Camille Saxton is the daughter of two Canadian national volleyball players and her brother Ben Saxton is also internationally active as a beach volleyball player. She is married and has a daughter.
