Möninsches Haus (Polish: Kamienica Moninów ) is a tenement house on Sienny Market (before World War II: Heumarkt ) in the old town of the Polish city of Szczecin .
description
The baroque tenement house on the corner of Sienny-Markt and Sienna-Strasse, built around the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries, was modeled on the buildings of Dutch cities. The gable of the building, decorated with pilasters and interrupted in the middle, is crowned with a small pinnacle . The side parts of the gable are divided into two floors by a cornice and are decorated with stucco decoration.
history
The tenement building owes its name to a colonial business of the Mönin family from the turn of the 19th to the 20th century. From 1919 the carpentry of Franz Materna was in the building .
The tenement house was destroyed in 1944 during the Second World War. In the years 2002–2009 it was reconstructed as part of the reconstruction project of the old town of Szczecin. The facade of the building was designed true to the original using old woodcuts and photographs.
