The Mühlbach as a canal begins in Katzelsdorf as an outflow of the Leitha and flows into the Kehrbach canal in Wiener Neustadt in the Academy Park .
The Mühlbach passes behind Katzelsdorf Castle and crosses Mühlgasse there. The municipality of Katzelsdorf acquired a decommissioned small hydropower plant on the Mühlbach in 1995 and put it back into operation.
