The Mühlenbach is a 4.844 km long orographically left tributary of the Ruhr in the North Rhine-Westphalian Arnsberg . The stream rises on the eastern slope of the Henssenberg south of Rumbeck at an altitude of 390  m above sea level. NN and flows in a northerly direction at 195  m above sea level. NN in the Ruhr.

Large parts of the stream in the upper reaches are in the Mühlenbachtal nature reserve and in the mouth area in the Ruhraue nature reserve .
