Map with all coordinates: The Mühlenbach Gorge Tour is a circular hiking trail near Saarwellingen in Saarland . It is one of the so-called dream loops in the route system of the Saar-Hunsrück-Steiges and connects Saarwellingen with Reisbach .
Characteristic
The main attraction of the way is the deep gorge of the Mühlenbach , which is secured by a complex system of steps, ladders and railings. The brook has cut deep into the sandstone and meanders through the valley. It has a lookout point.

Start and finish is the Saarwald Association's refuge . Past the RAG weather shaft and the Latz orchard, the route continues to the headwaters of the Heßbach and the driveway of the northern shaft of the Saars mine . From here the path leads into the Mühlenbach gorge, the heart of the premium hiking trail, and then reaches the Reisbach development above the gorge. At the edge of the forest of the Vorderen Weiherkopf with a view of the Labacher Hof, one arrives over the Hinteren Weiherkopf to the Schoenstatt Chapel and further past the Seitershof to the Heßbach. To the left of the Heßbach, you finally reach the destination, the Saarwald Association's refuge.
