Bockhorn coin
The Bockhorn Celtic coin was found in 1981 on the church hill next to the Bockhorn bell tower in the district of Friesland in north-western Lower Saxony .
The piece that probably came to northern Germany by sea is a so-called stater . It is made of silver with a strong copper content and weighs 6.25 g. It was minted around 80 BC. In Brittany from the Celtic tribe of the Coriosolites , who settled in northeastern Brittany and on the Channel Islands .
