Məcnun Vahidov
Məcnun Abdulvahid oğlu Vahidov (born July 27, 1946 , † April 30, 2009 in Baku ), also Mejnun Vahidov or Medznun Vagidov, was an Azerbaijani chess composer and functionary.
Chess composition
In the field of chess composition, Vahidov was known as a composer of over 200 assignments and a co-founder of various themes such as the Vladimirov theme and several Nowotny types. He was temporarily president of the Azerbaijani Chess Composition Commission.
life and death
Vahidov was an assistant professor at the Baku State Oil Academy for three decades and had a candidate degree in natural sciences . He also worked as a writer, such as the author of the television comedy Yarımştat . On April 30, 2009, he was one of twelve victims of a shooting at the Baku State Oil Academy.
