MJ Cole

MJ Cole (born Matt Coleman , * 1973 ) is one of the best known and most successful British UK garage - producers .

Live and act

He was one of the first stars of Garage and remixed for Mariah Carey , De La Soul , Dido , Nitin Sawhney , Gabriel and Bran Van 3000 , among others .

MJ Cole had worked as a sound engineer for the drum and bass label SOUR and for Ed Rush , and in mid-1996 he began to publish 2step under his own name . His early 2-step tune Sincere became one of the first garage titles to hit the UK Top 40.

Two years after the surprising success, MJ Cole released a debut album of the same name . For this album he was nominated for the Mercury Prize and awarded a silver record .
