The MODR rocks ( Ukrainian Скелі МОДРу ) are a ferrous shale rock formation and the only geological natural monument of national importance in the Ukrainian Dnepropetrovsk Oblast .

The MODR rock group is a 62 hectare geological natural monument located in the valley of the Inhulez in the western town of Kryvyi Rih , which received the status of a natural monument of national importance in 1975 . The ferruginous slate rocks in the Krywbass represent a unique geological two billion year old section.

The rocks get their name from the former mining village MODR ( МОДР ), which is an abbreviation for " Міжнародна організація допомоги борцям революції " (in German: International Aid Organization for Fighters of the Revolution ). The rocks have an absolute height of 50.0 m.
