The MSV Pampow (officially: Mecklenburgischer Sportverein Pampow eV ) is a sports club from Pampow in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . The men's soccer team rose to the Oberliga Nordost in 2019 .

history

The roots of the association were laid in the 1950s by BSG Traktor Pampow . The MSV Pampow was then founded on June 22, 1990. In addition to football, the club also offers volleyball , badminton , bowling , women's gymnastics , athletics , children's playgroups, yoga and Zumba .

The soccer team, also known as " Pirates ", rose to the regional league in 2004 and reached the regional league four years later. The “pirates” stayed there for only two years, and then in 2010 they were promoted to the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania League. There the team always achieved placements in the upper half of the table and came third in 2012 and 2014. In 2017, the MSV reached the final of the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Cup . In the neutral Neustrelitz the “Pirates” lost 3-1 to Hansa Rostock in front of 2800 spectators . After another third place in the 2017/18 season, the Pampower secured the championship prematurely a year later and rose to the Oberliga Nordost for the first time.
