Maarten Wijnants (born May 13, 1982 in Hasselt ) is a Belgian racing cyclist .

Career

Maarten Wijnants started his career in 2004 with the Jong Vlaanderen cycling team in 2016 and became the Belgian U23 road champion. In 2005 he finished third at Hel van het Mergelland . In the 2007 season Wijnants drove for the first time for a UCI ProTeam , the Belgian team Quick Step-Innergetic . At the beginning of the 2011 season he moved to the Dutch Rabobank team. In 2012, Wijnants took tenth place in the classic Paris – Roubaix .
