Maarten van der Duin

Maarten van der Duin (born January 9, 1967 in Utrecht ) is a Dutch screenwriter , film director and playwright .

Life

At the Sint-Oelbertgymnasium the Dutchman began his career as an author and television actor in the youth theater. From 1985 to 1991 he studied Slavic-Russia science at the University in Leiden and completed directing and acting training. From 1991 to 1992 van der Duin studied theater arts at a university in Moscow.

After some directing, staging and character work during his studies, he began in 1997 as a producer of a festival of Russian, classical, working works in a small theater in London , the King Head Theater .

In 1998 van der Duin returned to the Netherlands and worked for several years in various positions, including at the DJI training institute of the Ministry of Justice .
