Tempo (brewery)
Tempo Beer Industries is Israel's largest brewery . The company's headquarters are in Netanya . It has a 60% stake in Tempo Beverages . The Dutch brewery company Heineken holds the remaining 40% of the ownership.
Products
- Maccabee (Hebrew: מכבי) is a Pilsner brewed beer . It was first brewed in 1968 and quickly became Israel's leading beer brand. It is also exported to Europe and the USA.
- Goldstar (Hebrew: גולדסטאר) is a lager beer and has been produced since 1950.
- Shandy is a mixed beer drink with an alcohol content of 1.9%, which is offered in different flavors (lime, apple, melon, peach and cherry).
- Nesher Malt is a non-alcoholic malt beer .
- Various soft drinks .
In addition to its own products, the company markets Heineken Pils , Sam Adams Lager , Murphy's Stout and Paulaner wheat beer in Israel.
In 2005 Tempo acquired a 39% stake in Barkan Wine Cellars , Israel's second largest winery ; In 2008 the proportion was increased to 83%.
