A curved fountain basin is located in a wall niche. In it rises a rock architecture that carries fallen giants, a snake and an eagle, above it is a male nude figure with a sword on a rock. In contrast to the Power to the Sea , there is no lettering with information on the artist or the year of the unveiling. The fountain basin is made of red granite from Uddevalla , Sweden , Bohemian granite was used for the paving, Lindabrunn conglomerate for the rocks and Lasa marble for the figures. A restoration was carried out from July 2001 to May 2003. In addition to historical photographs, the plaster models kept in the Hofburg's basement depot were used as templates to supplement the figural elements.
