Machtolf of gilt stone

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Machtolf von giltstein (around 1343 ) was a local nobleman and knight in giltstein .

Live and act

He was a son of Swigger von giltstein and probably a relative of Gottfried the roller von giltstein . He had a fox in the coat of arms. The Machtolfshof and the Machtolfsholz are named after the Machtolfe family. A forest above the Münchhalde and eight farmsteads and their accessories were sold by Machtolf von giltstein for 120 pounds of Heller on February 14, 1343 to Count Palatine Rudolf the Scheerer.

He was married to Zeitze (Cäcilie) von Frauenberg . On September 29, 1343, the latter allowed her husband to sell the goods and rights to giltstein, on which she had 40 Marks in the morning gift, to Count Palatine Rudolf the Scheerer.

Mohrenhof in Feuerbach

Through his marriage to Zeitze von Frauenberg, Machtolf von giltstein got the Mohrenhof in Feuerbach on today's Walter-, Mühl- and Feuerbacher Talstraße as well as the churchyard at that time, which included a large amount of fields, meadows and forests. Because of the size of this farm, he needed a court maier to manage it, for whom a courtyard building was built on the site of today's Mohrenhof 1.

In 1391 he sold his entire property in Feuerbach to Count Eberhard II of Württemberg (* 1315; † 1392), who continued to employ a court maier to manage the former giltstein court. He had to hand over Fruchtgülten to the lords of Stuttgart as well as to the Bebenhausen monastery and also to do labor.
