Maciej Śliwowski (born January 10, 1967 in Warsaw ) is a former Polish football player .

Maciej Śliwowski began his professional career in 1985 at the traditional Polish club FKS Stal Mielec . In the 1980s he was considered one of the greatest talents in Poland . He played in Mielec until 1990 before moving to the Bundesliga at VfL Bochum . Here, however, he could not convince at all and did not get a single mission. In 1991 he returned to Poland to Zagłębie Lubin and found his old strength. With his skills, he convinced those in charge at Legia Warsaw and moved to the capital in 1992. In his first season, he scored 24 goals in 33 games for Legia. At the beginning of the 1993/94 season, Śliwowski moved to Austria for SK Rapid Vienna . In 1995 he won the Austrian Cup with Rapid and in 1996 the Austrian Championship. In 1996 he switched to FC Tirol Innsbruck . He then played one season each for VfB Admira Wacker Mödling and SV Ried . He then ended his active career from 1999 to 2000 at FC Niederösterreich Sankt Pölten and SV Hundsheim . Overall, Maciej Śliwowski made 165 games and 61 goals in the Polish Ekstraklasa and 159 games and 37 goals in the Austrian Bundesliga .
