The Mackey Rock is an isolated rocky outcrop on the Ruppert coast of the west Antarctic Marie-Byrd-Land . It rises 13 km southwest of Mount Iphigene on the eastern edge of the Sulzberger Ice Shelf .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it using its own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1959 to 1965. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1970 after Steven Mackey, field research assistant of the United States Antarctic Research Program to explore the Marie-Byrd -Lands between 1967 and 1968.
