Macrochaetus collinsi is a species of the genus Macrochaetus from the stem of the rotifers (Rotatoria).
Description and distribution
The animals are about 230 µm long and are armored on the head, trunk and foot, the armor edges are finely serrated. There are ten long cuticle spines on the back . There is a red eye on the head . The animals move very slowly. They live primarily in subtropical and tropical waters, and are extremely rare in the temperate zone .
