Reviews

In the English-speaking world, Made in Mexico received mostly negative reviews. Even before the official premiere series, there were emotionally charged discussions and negative reactions from users on Twitter . In these, the exclusive focus on rich people was criticized and questioned against the background of the high poverty rate in Mexico. Users referred to the series as "trash" (garbage), "filth" (dirt), "pathetic" (pathetic) and "classist" ( classic ). The journalist Mike Hale criticized Made in Mexico in a review in the New York Times in a rather ironic way. So extreme Hale, referring to the American way of production as well as Donald Trump and his immigration policy , it is now up to the Mexican population to "Build that Wall!" (Build this wall!) To shout.
