Mads La Cour
Mads La Cour Langelund (* 1980 in Svendborg as Mads Langelund) is a Danish jazz musician ( trumpet , flugelhorn , cornet ).
Act
Langelund, who started playing the trumpet at the age of five, is a graduate of the Funen Music Conservatory. First he made a name for himself locally in bands like QUARTz, Tads Ta Tour, Horn Amok and Anders Mogensens Gifted Youth . In 2006 he played with Helle Hansen & Tiptoe Bigband. Since 2006 he has been a member of the Danish Radio Big Band , with which u. a. was involved in recordings with Charlie Watts or Curtis Stigers . Since 2008 he has released several albums with his own groups. He also belonged to The Pulse ; With this band he released an album of the same name in 2009. As a studio musician he can be heard on the album Continents by The Eclectic Moniker .
In 2007 he was named Jazz Musician of the Year by Funen; in the same year he won the P2 Jazz Awards from Danmarks Radio .
