Magda Draser-Haberpursch (born Magda Draser , born January 10, 1930 in Sibiu ; † March 11, 2016 in Ewersbach , Germany ) was a Romanian handball player from the German-speaking minority of the Transylvanian Saxons .
Career
Magda Draser-Haberpursch started playing handball during her school days. After the right connector played in Sibiu, she moved to Derubau in 1949. In 1957 she ended her career.
Draser-Haberpursch played a total of 9 international matches for the Romanian national team from 1953 . With the national team she was world champion in field handball at the 1956 World Cup with a victory over host Germany .
Together with her husband Rudolf Haberpursch (born March 28, 1929 in Mediaş ; † January 30, 1994 in Ewersbach ), who won silver as the goalkeeper of the Romanian national team at the men's field handball world championship in 1959 , she settled in Hesse in 1989.
