Magdalena Karčiauskienė
Magdalena Karčiauskienė , also Magdalena Martinaitytė (born October 12, 1919 in Sena Rūda , Wolost Gudeliai , now the Kazlų Rūda municipality ) is a Lithuanian educator and professor .
Life
In 1940 Magdalena Martinaitytė graduated from the Marijampolė Teachers' College in Marijampolė . From 1946 to 1950 and from 1971 to 1981 she studied and graduated at the Vilnius Pedagogical Institute in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius . In 1986 she received her doctorate in education . From 1940 to 1941 she worked as a teacher in Jankai near Kazlų Rūda , 1941–1946 in Amalviškiai in the Marijampolė district . 1948–1963 she taught at the Pedagogical Institute in Vilnius, 1964–1993 at the University of Vilnius . In 1988 she became a professor.
