Science fiction writer

Mouján began writing science fiction stories under the pseudonym "Inge Matquim" in the early 1960s. In 1968, her science fiction story Los Huáqueros won first prize at the Argentine science fiction convention Mardelcon. Pedro Mari Otaño , her maternal grandfather, was a famous Basque poet and immigrated to Argentina. In 1899 he wrote the poem Gu ta Gutarrak , in which he asked about the origin of the Basque language and the Basque people. In 1968, Mouján answered the questions asked in her grandfather's verses through a science fiction story of the same title. The story was accepted for an issue of the Spanish science fiction magazine Nueva Dimensión in 1970, but since it contradicted the ideals of Spanish unity, publication was blocked by the Franco regime . After Franco's death, the story was translated into several languages and published in 1979.
