August Haake (entrepreneur)
Friedrich August Haake (born September 23, 1829 in Halle (Westphalia) ; † April 6, 1906 in Braunschweig ) was a German businessman , entrepreneur , commercial judge and chamber of commerce president.
Life
August Haake was born in Halle, Westphalia, in 1829. He was the owner of the CA Scheller grain store , which was located on Wolfenbütteler Strasse in Braunschweig. Haake has been a member of the Braunschweig Chamber of Commerce since it was founded in 1864, and was President from 1879 to 1893. From 1875 he was a member of the city council and from 1890 a member of the Braunschweig State Assembly , where he was a member of the finance commission. Haake worked as a commercial judge for more than three decades. He held the honorary title of Commerce Councilor and last lived on Petritorwall . August Haake died in April 1906 at the age of 76 in Braunschweig.
