Magdalena Swanepoel
Magdalena Swanepoel ( Magdalena Catherina "Dalene" Swanepoel; born November 7, 1930 in Hopetown ; † June 2, 2007 ) was a South African javelin thrower and shot putter .
At the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Vancouver in 1954 , she won the javelin throw and won bronze in the shot put.
In 1958, she took silver in the javelin throw at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Cardiff and was fourth in the shot put.
She was eight times national champion in javelin throw and five times in the shot put.
