Magnus Cato

Jan Magnus Cato (born June 30, 1967 in Gothenburg ) is a former Swedish handball player .

The 1.87 m tall Magnus Cato played on the left winger for Redbergslids IK in the Swedish Elitserien . With the Gothenburg club he was Swedish champion in 1989 and 1993. In 1988 he made his debut in the Swedish national team , with which he became world champion in 1990 . At the 1992 Olympics, he lost to the United Team in the final . At the 1993 World Cup , he won bronze again. After 78 international matches in which he scored 93 goals, he ended his sporting career in 1993 at the age of 25.

Magnus Cato has three children and works as an engineer.
