The Magoke Point ( Japanese まごけ岬 Magoke-misaki ) is a rocky headland on the Prince Harald Coast of the East Antarctic Queen Maud Lands . It is located in the southeastern part of the Skallen group of hills and protrudes into a small side bay of the Lützow-Holm Bay , which lies between the group of hills and the Skallebreen .
Aerial photographs and measurements of a Japanese Antarctic expedition carried out from 1957 to 1962 were used to map them. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names transferred 1973, previously made in Japanese wording in a partial translation into English. Magoke is the Japanese term for Birnmoose that are represented here in some ways.
