Mahamed Dawudawitsch Aryphadschyjeu ( Belarusian Магамед Давудавіч Арыпгаджыеў ; born September 23, 1977 in Kaspijsk , Dagestani ASSR ) is a former Belarusian boxer .

Career

amateur

In 1998 Aryphadschyjeu became military world champion in Warendorf in the heavyweight division (-91 kg) and beat Timur Ibragimov, Uzbekistan (9: 8) in the final . At the European Championships in 2000 he reached the quarter-finals, but was eliminated against the eventual European champion Jackson Chanet, France (6: 5). The 2000 Olympic Games were not very successful for Aryphadschyjeu. He was eliminated in the first fight against Sebastian Köber , Germany (9: 4).

At the World Championships 2001 Aryphadschyjeu started light heavyweight (-81 kg) and reached the quarterfinals, which he lost to eventual world champion Evgeny Makarenko , Russia (RSC 3rd). In 2002 he started at the European Championships , but only reached the quarter-finals here, which he could not contest due to an injury.

At the World Championships 2003 Aryphadschyjeu won his first international medal. After victories over Pornchai Thongburan , Thailand (24: 8), Clemente Russo , Italy (14: 4), Yohanson Martinez, Cuba (16:13), and Aleksy Kuziemski, Poland (16:14), he reached the final, which he lost to Yevgeny Makarenko (29:11) and thus won the silver medal. The same placement reached Aryphadschyjeu at the Olympic Games in the following year. He beat Ramiro Reducino, Mexico (29:10), Edgar Muñoz, Venezuela (18:10), Lei Yuping, China (27:18), and Ahmed Ismail , Egypt (23:20), and lost to Andre in the final Ward , USA (20:13).

professional

After the Olympics Aryphadschyjeu signed a professional fight and made his debut on June 4, 2005, which he won against Szabolcs Gergely by TKO in the first round. However, he lost his fourth fight against Artjom Wytschkin, who had lost 16 of 22 fights by then. Two more wins later he fought against Poland's Aleksy Kuziemski, whom he was still able to beat as an amateur, and lost by a narrow point judgment. The following 11 fights he could win, but he won no major title. His greatest achievement was winning the "European External European Union" light heavyweight title.
