Mahmud Alawi
Sejjed Mahmud Alawi ( Persian محمود علوی; Transcription ( DMG ): Maḥmūd ʿAlavī ; * 1954 in Lamard, Fars Province ) is an Iranian clergyman and politician.
He was appointed Minister of Intelligence and State Security ( Wezārat-e Ettelāʿat Dschomhūrī-ye Eslāmī-ye Īrān , now VAJA) of the Rouhani government in August 2013 . He is a member of the Expert Council .
