Ghorbanali Dorri-Najafabadi ( Persian قربانعلی دری نجف‌آبادی, * 1945 in Najafābād ) is an Iranian politician and cleric with the religious title Ayatollah . Because of Dorri-Nadjafabadi's involvement in serious human rights violations, including those in Kahrisak , he is not allowed to enter Europe, and any assets are frozen in Europe.

Career

Dorri-Najafabadi was head of the VEVAK secret service from August 1997 to February 23, 1999 . From 2005 to August 24, 2009 he was Attorney General in Iran. It was dismissed by the new head of justice, Sadegh Larijani , also in connection with the protests against the presidential elections in 2009 , and replaced by Gholamhossein Mohseni-Esche'i . Dorri-Najafabadi preaches as a Friday imam in Arak .

During his tenure as head of the secret service, there were chain murders of opposition activists, for which his deputy, Said Emami , assumed responsibility. Dorri-Najafabadi resigned from office and was replaced by Ali Younesi . In the trial against the murderers of the former labor minister Dariusch Foruhar and his wife Parvaneh Eskandari Foruhar, the Nobel Peace Prize laureate and lawyer Schirin Ebadi , who represented the couple's daughter, inspected the trial documents together with the daughter. According to both statements, Dorri-Najafabadi's orders regarding the contract killings were found in the trial documents; the later convicted murderers were on duty at the time of the crime, as evidenced by overtime accounts. According to her own statement, Shirin Ebadi was also named in the documents as the next person to be murdered.

Positions

Ghorbanali Dorri-Najafabadi caused a stir when he called for stricter import restrictions for western toys. Toys like Barbie , Batman and Harry Potter would have had a devastating impact on the country's youth.
