Majoren is an archipelago island in the North Sea off the Norwegian city of Stavanger in the province of Rogaland .
It is located in the northern part of the city's Vågen harbor , west of the larger island of Engøy , south of Buøy , northwest of Plentingen . A little to the north are the even smaller archipelago islands Majorgrunnen and Majorskjeret . The uninhabited, rocky, sparsely vegetated island extends in a west-east direction over about 74 meters, with a width of up to about 39 meters and a height of up to 3 meters.
