Majunying ( Chinese 马军 营乡 , Pinyin Mǎjūnyíng Xiāng ) is a municipality in the north of the Chinese province of Shanxi . It belongs administratively to the municipality Pingcheng the prefecture-level city Datong . It administers a territory of 110 km² and in 2000 had a population of 84,731 people in 25,429 households.
Numerous trunk roads, as well as the Datong – Puzhou and Datong – Qinhuangdao railway lines, cross the Majunying area . Majunying is the location of two power plants , an engine plant, a chemical factory, a coal gasification plant and a pharmaceutical factory.
As of 2017, the municipality of Majunying was subordinate to 21 villages .
