El Hadji Makhtar Thioune (born August 5, 1984 in Richard Toll ) is a Senegalese football player .
Career
society
Thioune began his career at ASC Linguère . From 2004 he played for one and a half years for the ASC Port Autonome and in 2005 won the Senegalese football championship. In January 2006 he moved to Sarpsborg 08 Fotballforening in Norway . He played with Sarpsborg for three years in the Adeccoligaen before moving to Molde FK in the Tippeligaen in January 2009 . In his first season he was named Midfielder of the Year in Norway with the Kniksen Award and was in the final of the Norwegian Football Cup against Aalesunds FK . Thioune contributed a goal during the penalty shoot-out. In 2011 he was Norwegian football champion with Molde. At the beginning of 2012 he was loaned to the Karlsruher SC . On February 17, 2012, the 22nd matchday, Thioune played his first second division game in the home game against Energie Cottbus (2-0) when he came on for Aleksandre Iaschwili in the 74th minute . After finishing the relegation games against Jahn Regensburg , he went back to Molde. From there he moved to Viking Stavanger . After the league game against Brann Bergen at the end of April 2013, Thioune raised accusations of racism against referee Svein-Erik Edvartsen and was then suspended for two games within the club.
In January 2016 he moved to the Turkish second division club Şanlıurfaspor and left them again the next summer.
National team
Since 2006, Thioune has made nine international matches for the Senegalese national soccer team .
