Hartmut Leistritz

Hartmut Leistritz (born September 19, 1956 in Warendorf ) is a German pianist .

Life

He grew up in the everyday life of a family of church musicians, involved in multiple liturgical and musical tasks as a choir singer, recorder player, organist and double bass player. He only began a specific pianistic training when he began studying music at the age of 16 with Heinz Budde. Two years later he was already playing César Franck's “Symphonic Variations” and the German premiere of a piano concerto by Gottfried von Eine as a soloist with the Münster Symphony Orchestra , recorded by WDR . He completed piano studies with Eliza Hansen at the Lübeck University of Music and composition with Jens Rohwer .

As a soloist, accompanist and chamber musician, he gave concerts a. a. with Sylvia Geszty , Brigitte Mira , William Workman, Christiane Edinger , Carola Nasdala , Claudia Schwarze , Peter Sadlo , Anette von Hehn , in the Trio Triton and in the Ensemble l'art pour l'art Hamburg in over 20 countries. He also dealt with rock , jazz and experimental music . Recordings were made for WDR, NDR , SWF , Deutschlandfunk , Radio Bremen , Radio Vatican , Radio France and ZDF .

He has been teaching piano at the Lübeck University of Music since the age of 21 and now lives in Berlin .
