Maksymilian Cercha
Maksymilian Cercha (born October 12, 1818 in Krakow ; † June 29, 1907 ibid) was a Polish painter and draftsman, nephew of Ezekiel Cercha and father of Stanisław Cercha .
Life
He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow and from 1839 to 1949 at the painting and drawing school at the Technical Institute in Cracow, under Jan Napomucen Bizański , Karol Ceptowski , Jan Nepomucen Głowacki and Wojciech Korneli Stattler . Active as a drawing teacher: 1843–1844 St. Florians School; 1859–1863 monastery school in Staniątki and St. Barbara school and Krakow. - Initially painted under the influence of Głowacki Tatra landscape and miniature portraits. From around 1850 (fire in Krakow) he drew and watercolored precisely with historical texts, those of documentary. Cercha's students included Stanisław Cercha (1867–1919) and Stanisław Tarnowski (1838–1909) .
